Information
The Kiha 261 is a limited express diesel car of JR Hokkaido, and the 1000th generation, which appeared in 2006, is still being expanded and is playing an active role as the main limited express vehicle.
As a vehicle used for multiple purposes such as group temporary and school trips, two 5-car trains will be manufactured based on the 7th car of the 1000th generation, and a new division of the 5000th generation was born.
The first organization was given the nickname of "Hamanasu", and it has a vivid appearance with reddish purple, which is the image of the color of a flower, arranged around the forehead and doors.
The operation started in October 2020, and we are also operating the special express trains and the regular limited express trains such as the limited express "Okhotsk / Heavy Snow".
