Kintetsu 10100 series "New Vista Car" is a limited express train that appeared in 1959, and is a famous train that has solidified the position of Kintetsu Nagoya-Osaka Limited Express, which continues to this day. It was a three-car articulated train including a two-story middle car, which was revolutionary at the time, and there were A, B, and C formations with different front shapes. From 1967 to 1975, snack corners were installed, window arrangements were changed due to the relocation of toilets to install waste treatment devices in the toilets and washrooms, and radio antennas and obstacle flushing devices were installed. Prior to its retirement in 1979, a commemorative run was held with a triple-unit A+C+B formation, which had not been seen until then, and a triple-unit run with a "farewell run" headmark was held from July to August 1979 to mark the end of its life.
