The Kiha 58 series appeared in 1961 (S36) as an advanced version of the Kiha 55 series, and is an express train that has been deployed throughout the country. Even a few of them are still active.
The Kiha 58 type 400 series is a vehicle with a flat cab window and a brake device changed for long trains, which was later remodeled for cooling.
