Information
With the opening of Kansai International Airport in September 1994, Nankai 50000 was born for airport access from central Osaka.
It is a limited express train "Rapi:t". It appeared with a bold design, such as a front shape resembling a three-dimensional curved sphere reminiscent of an aircraft, elliptical side windows, and a deep blue body paint. Six 6-car trains are enrolled, and are active as limited express "Rapi:t α" and "Rapi:t β" between Namba and Kansai Airport.
In addition, from November 2022, the Nankai 50000 series (Rapi:t car) will enter operation as the "Semboku Liner" and is also active on the Senboku Rapid Railway.
