Information
The 200 series is a Shinkansen train developed for the Tohoku and Joetsu Shinkansen lines which opened in 1982, and has been strengthened to be cold- and snow-resistant due to the climate in which it operates.
The K formation, which was prepared for coupling with the Yamagata and Akita Shinkansen lines, had a coupling function installed on the leading 222 car closest to Morioka.
